Episode Description

It’s estimated that 1 in 8 women have PMOS. Most of them have never even heard of it.

You probably know it by its old name: PCOS.

In one of the biggest updates to women's health in years, experts officially changed the name from Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) to Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS) because the old name missed the bigger picture. This isn't just about ovaries. It's about your metabolism, your hormones, your blood sugar, your energy, and how your entire body functions.

If you've been battling stubborn weight, acne, irregular periods, facial hair, anxiety, food noise, infertility, fatigue, inflammation, or you constantly feel like your body isn't responding no matter how "healthy" you're trying to be, this episode is for you.

Joining Jamie once again is Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and “Your Blood Sugar Bestie” Ashley Lawrence, who was diagnosed with PMOS herself and has since reversed her symptoms and lost her diagnosis by getting to the root cause instead of chasing them one at a time.

Together, they break down what this name change actually means for you, why so many women have slipped through the cracks for years, and how all those random, frustrating symptoms you’ve been dealing with might actually be connected to the same root cause.

You'll learn:

• PCOS → PMOS: why the name changed and what it really means

• Insulin resistance in PMOS (even without weight gain)

• Prevalence: 1 in 8 women, many undiagnosed

• Blood sugar dysregulation and its impact on hormones, mood, digestion, inflammation, fertility, and energy

• Why calorie restriction and high-intensity workouts can backfire

• Ashley’s simple blood sugar–balancing meal formula to reduce cravings and food noise

• Key supports: therapeutic teas, minerals, movement, and lifestyle habits for hormone balance

• How Ashley reversed her symptoms using Foundations of Health vs. heavy supplement protocols

• Sustainable healing without extreme restriction

If you've ever wondered why your friend can skip meals, survive on iced coffee, work out six days a week, and lose weight while you feel exhausted doing everything "right," this conversation will help you understand why.

Your body isn't failing you.

It's communicating with you.

And when you learn its language and listen to its wisdom, everything changes.
