The Nutritional Therapy Association (NTA) offers a partial scholarship through the Jennifer Pecot Scholarship Fund, based on both financial need and passion for nutrition, awarded to students interested in enrolling in either the Nutritional Therapy Practitioner or Nutritional Therapy Consultant courses.
This scholarship is currently open to those enrolling in classes beginning May 2018 courses and is applicable towards tuition only, i.e. it does not cover course supplies or books.
There will be 4 scholarships awarded, each for half of the tuition for the program of the recipient's choice: $2700 for the Nutritional Therapy Practitioner program and $1950 for the Nutritional Therapy Consultant program.
How to Apply
The application process includes an online form to complete and a video submission. Please note that you will not be able to submit your application without a link to your video essay.
The scholarship committee will consider need as a component, but attitude and passion are the most important attributes we take into account. We want to know what problem you are dedicated to solving and what lights you up.
Please let your creativity shine through in your video! Your video should be a maximum of two minutes answering this question:
What actions are you currently taking and what do you plan to do after gaining your certification to participate in the global paradigm shift toward sustainable food, holistic healing, balanced lifestyles, and authentic community relationships?
- January 10: Scholarship application opens.
- February 16: Deadline to turn in completed scholarship application. Applications must be received by 5pm PST to be considered. *CLOSED*
- March 2: Recipients will be selected and notified.
- March 30: Recipients must have the remainder of tuition paid in full in order to be registered. Those who do not have their tuition paid by March 30th will forfeit their scholarship and it will be awarded to another applicant.
Through generous donations from alumni and friends, the Jennifer Pecot Scholarship Fund has afforded many students the opportunity to complete the NTC or NTP class who otherwise wouldn't have.
We are grateful to these donors for helping to empower the next wave of nutritional professionals with the education they need to change the world. Learn more about how you can make a difference.

Financing Through your own bank OR credit union
Another option is to pursue a personal loan through your own financial institution. All funds must be received by the NTA before you can be registered and reserve a spot in class.
Please note that if you are an international student, your tuition does need to be in USD, so your bank will need to do the conversion for you. Any conversion/transaction fees are not the responsibility of the NTA.
Australia & Canada
Financing for the NTP Australia class is available from Auswide Bank. For more information, visit the NTA Australia site.
Currently, we are not working directly with any specific financial institutions in Canada. Personal loans through your own financial institution are accepted.
