Distance Learning
The Nutritional Therapy Association Inc. ® is now offering the Nutritional Therapist Training Program in a distance learning format. This program includes the same course content as the classroom venues and more instruction time with Instructor-lead teleconference calls. It offers students 9 months of training with the flexibility of self-paced study, weekly teleconference calls and 3 separate multiple-day, instructor-led workshops during the fourteen-module course. Students will receive comprehensive instructional materials, including student workbooks, a reference guide, the lecture series on DVD and nutritional assessment software.
During the Instructor-lead teleconference calls students will review the DVD lecture material and join in on class discussions that complement the curriculum. In addition, students may schedule individual phone conferences for clarifying any questions. Course requirements consist of module-based homework, book reviews on all required reading, a community project and outside client/practitioner exercises.
During the course, students will be required to attend 3 intensive workshops at a designated location. These multi-day sessions will include hands-on instruction that covers client functional evaluations, diet and lifestyle assessments, review of course material, written and practical examinations.
